Exactly. He's looking for the best stepping stone for his career. Not to mention he has a big family and can't ignore the pay difference.

Btw, I seriously doubt that if ND offers him extra money under the table he's going to sign a relatively tiny contract and count on the secret money.

If Freeman wants to be a head coach and soon, he’ll come here. Examples: Dave Aranda, Jimbo Fisher, Will Muschamp, Joe Brady (potentially)

There's nothing "under the table" about Notre Dame's coaching salaries. They simply don't have to report what the coaches make because they're not public employees. You don't think all of LSU's coaches' salaries comes from the university?
