It subtracted your OOC games, it led to numerous opt outs of key teams/players, and even postponed or canceled games. It most definitely subtracted.

Don't get it twisted.

Which makes it all the more remarkable what Alabama has accomplished so far this season.

In what reality?

Bottom line is this.

YOu have a QB that had a great season. At the end of the day he wasn't a game changer, he wasn't a difference maker, but he was a manager. He managed the frick out of your team. Alabama without Jones still wins the SEC. Same can't be said for UF without Trask or Clemson without Lawerence.

Out of the 4 playoff teams one played 5 games, one beat the other in OT with their opponent having their Heisman frontrunner(at the time) not even in the stadium; then turned around and got trounced in the ACC title game(Only reason they were in the ACC was COVID) and then you have Alabama that ran through a severely depleted but still somewhat difficult SEC.

SO tell me again how COVID didn't subtract from the season.

Yeah. It’s a real shame we didn’t get to pad our stats against Northwestern State, Utah State, and Georgia Southern.

So what? We lost USC, Georgia State, Kent State, and UT-Martin. It would have been cool I guess to have played Southern Cal but I'm pretty sure the score would have been similar in that game to what it was in 2016.

Which added to the difficulty for all parties involved.

The rest of your post is just subjective opinion that I have no desire to respond to. It's Christmas and I don't feel like dealing with drunk, butt hurt LSU fans.

Lol no.

The difference between the first ND game and second one was the defense not offense. TL’s backup put up 450 yards and led the offense to 40 points but his defense gave up 47 points. The second time around the defense gave up 10. You’re telling me the backup QB wouldn’t have put up at least 13 points?

Even if you think Mac isn’t the MVP, he isn’t a game manager. Game managers don’t rank 3rd in the nation in passing yards per game. Perhaps you don’t know what game manager means? An example of a game manager is McElroy in 2009. He ranked 70th in YPG. I think you mean system QB? Though plenty of great QBs have been accused of being one.

Let’s be honest... Trevor Lawrence doesn’t get Covid - Clemson doesn’t lose to ND - Trevor runs away with it.

Lawrence: 2,964 yards + 29 TDs (4 INTs) in 9 games

Jones: 3,730 yards + 33 TDs (4 INTs) in 11 games

And is Smithy a finalist as the 2nd best player at his position (in the SEC West) with Chase playing? Of course not.
