Yeah, the Senior Bowl has become an opportunity for guys to work into the NFL or increase their draft stock.
The highest projected picks usually still opt-out of playing in it.

Not really. They aren't working on technique that week. they are learning a new scheme. And the chances of injury is probably greater at the senior bowl than at a regular bowl game.
