Now that I've realized that jacksonville25, Luke and their connected high-priests aren't going to let Gus complete the "Sonny Smith" journey, I am going to comment seriously on the AU head coach:
All the coaches being considered seem to be great except for Steele from my perspective. His consideration is puzzling to me, unless he played a hand in Gus' removal. I digress.
- Napier seems great, he fits the AU profile, has a great pedigree, and has three(?) winning seasons as a CFB HC.
- Kiffen? Great, sign me up. Would raise the AU profile, great pedigree from his Dad and his personal success.
- Bill Clark? Another good/great CBF track record and great pedigree.
- Elliot and Venables? Also great, but no CFB head coach experience. Those types of hires happen more than you would think though. Richt and Smart at UGA just to name two.
If I don't have a shine on anyone in particular it would be Sarkesian. I've lived in SLC since the late '90s and he was a punk, short-ut artist as a QB at BYU, and I only followed his programs as a HC at UDub and USC. He may be great, but I just think he has too many red flags. As someone who manages people I wouldn't take the risk, with as much of a body of work he has in his background.
I may be forgetting or omitted others. I actually like the way this process has worked. I would have preferred AU would have had someone lined up, but if not let's interview coaches. This hasn't been UT, Arky or Mizzou.

OK I'll hijack my own thread to partially appease you, and I've seriously asked myself these questions when you have posted:
- Is that Sean White and Jared Stidham in your signature image?
- Where is that picture taken?
and,
- Is that a pet pig with a fake moustache?
