The Lady Razorbacks were not good hosts to 4th ranked Baylor, the defending (since we didn't get to have the NCAAT last year) national champions. We won 83-78 in a huge win for the Arkansas program.

Considering that we have USC on the schedule, and they look to be horrifyingly good this year, this is a big time victory for the program. If we manage to knock off Baylor and USC in the same season it vaults Arkansas up from really good to elite status.

After we received the commitment from Wolfenbarger (#7 in the class), I looked to see where our women's class ranked. Arkansas is 25th on ESPN'S rankig. South Carolina is 1st and has 4 of the top 11 recruits.

I forget the service, but another one ranked those 4 as #1-4. This is for '21-22, so SC looks scary good for the future, too.

He seems like a cool and pretty personable dude too. When he was first hired he came and talked at the whatever it’s called - in my town they have an annual Razorback whatever group dinner that one of the coaches come to not touchdown club I don’t think but one of those type of things.

Anyway, he came and there’s a set of twins that played for my tiny school that went on to play for Tech and they’re younger than me but pushing 40 if not 40 now so this was at least 15 years after they played I would think. The twins helped serve the dinner that year and when he spoke to the crowd after dinner he talked about them playing and really seemed to remember them well. I guess I found that impressive because they were good but they didn’t play for the hogs or go to a big high school or come from the NWA area.

I know, cool story Piggi. but just saying he seems pretty impressive.

That is awesome!

Despite our small size in terms of population we turn out some elite basketball talent, both men and women. Add in the neighboring major cities within our recruiting footprint we can absolutely be legit powers in basketball across the board.
