The problem is that every program agreed to the 53 player threshold before the season.

Also, its extremely difficult to field a competitive team and run efficient practices with less than 53 players.

NFL rosters are capped at 53 but they also have practice squads and can sign and release players based on need.

A linebacker goes down? No problem, drop a backup tight end and pickup a free agent.

Then change the threshold.

These people make a shite load of money yet they can't adapt on the fly? fricking idiots.

College teams have walk-ons. A good number of them, too. Why can't they play?
