Something tells there are a lot of QBs that could break 100 yards in their first start

Did you actually watch the entire game to understand just how unusual the game script was in that game? The Dolphins had an 89% win probability just a few minutes into the 2nd quarter. The playcalling was in lead protection mode for 3 quarters. Why would you let your rookie QB in his first start be a gunslinger throwing downfield with Aaron Donald breathing down his neck when frankly the only possible way to lose would be a bunch of disastrous turnovers by the QB?

The Dolphins defense/special teams basically scored 3 TDs (a fumble return TD, punt return TD, and an INT return to the 1 yard line). When you lose 3 possessions to DST TDs and are trying to conserve a big lead for 3 quarters, that is exactly the type game script that gives you very low numbers for a QB. Patrick freaking Mahomes scored 12 fantasy points against Denver a couple weeks ago from negative game script.

Tua missed a few throws and had 4 drops and the fumble from Donald, but outside of that the playcalling didn't even attempt to get him into any downfield throwing rhythm. The Fins were happy to just take the win against a really good Rams defense and try to develop Tua in future games.

If this week the Dolphins fall behind the Cardinals a couple scores and Tua has to attempt 40 passes to win the game on his back and looks terrible doing it, I will be the first to say he is not playing up to his draft level. But there was nothing to evaluate last week.
