I say NO.

The “best” doesn’t lose Nattys by 30 points.

Bear Bryant lost a natty to '71 Nebraska by 32 points in the '72 Orange Bowl. I guess that means he can't be the best either.

Considering Bama was trying to take 3rd stringers because of injuries and asking them to cover future first and second rd draft picks I’m really shocked that game was that close. Not to mention Tua was hurt in that game also. That year was probably Saban’s best year as a head coach in his Career. The past 4 or 5 years Bama had really struggled with injuries but that team in particular had no business in a title game but somehow Saban pulled it off. By far his best head coaching job.
