Again - can you (or anyone) reference or even remember a pivotal, game-altering call that went favorably for us or a similarly-pigeonholed team against an Auburn/Alabama/Florida?
I'm going to state I'm very doubtful you can.
There are favorable calls, and then there are calls involving teams that will alter expectations at the top of the conference.
The ability to influence isn't always there. But when it is there's a commonality to how they play out as I've seen it over the years.
I'm not alone in that sentiment, and whether you like Lane Kiffin and his approach to this or not the fact remains - absolutely nothing real or perceived will change unless there is strong reaction from the member programs of the conference.

JJ Meadors vs Alabama. There was no way to see if he made a clean catch or trapped that ball, but we got the call and won the game. Outside of that, no, I can't remember getting any calls.
