They paid his assistants a substantial amount more. Plus CU would rather kill the program before they invest in the program.

Sounds like Mel may not last at Mich St. He's never really staid anywhere longer than 3 years and this team it may not be his choice if he leaves. It wouldn't surprise me if he ended up being DC at Bama or Ohio St.
