Yeah, while Davis going bowling ball isn't ideal, it is nice that he at least makes people pay for running the ball.

I think the problem players on defense are basically:

Stiner
Wilson
Burney in coverage.

The rest are at least decent to maybe even good. No great players.

Like I said:

Every time we score, kick an onside kick.
Every time it's 4th and 5, go for it unless we're in field goal range.

Defensively:

Run four CBs, one safety and guard the first down line.
Blitz one of the interior CBs almost every single down.
Just mix it up and hope that the CB can get there in time.

Other than that, I have no idea what we can do.

Carter is actually really good when used right. He has pure power. Elam is good when used right(press man). Lot of guys are good...if used right. We do not seem to be able to do this.

So after looking at our roster our numbers are...

11-DL
17-LB
21-DB

That leaves us with the option of 3-4 or a 3-3-5 defense.

I would go with the 3-3-5 and disguise which corners were bringing the pass rush while always trying to create a lane down the middle for Diabate to run through. Basically overloads with size on one side with speed coming from the other side.

Bench Wilson for Hill.

Give every guy that was recruited as an athlete a tryout for safety.

And practice tackling. A lot.

That’s all I got.
