True. But dual-threat QBs effect everyone else the same. When Alabama has a dual-threat QB we too become harder to defend.

So, what's the point?

We've changed the caliber of athlete we've recruited at different positions, and downsized the defensive product. All, in hopes of staying with more elusive offenses. Not just because they are dual-threat but also because college football has morphed into the HUNH RPO spread game we have today.

LSU just tried to out talent an inferior team with an air raid passing scheme. They got 600 yards put on their head and humiliated. It's not enough to have the best team. It takes a smart scheme to go along with it.
