Blue Chips on roster:

2020: 49

2019: 39

2018: 35

2017: 28

2016: 24

5-stars on Roster:

2020: 4

2019: 1

2018: 1

2017: 2

2016: 2

So, yeah, he is actually closing the gap. In every measurable way.

I don't think you know how to measure.
UGA 2020:
68 blue chips
38 high blue chips (.9400 or better)
16 5 star players

UGA 2019:
59 blue chips (are you figuring out that your GAP needs to be measured against UGA yet?)
32 high blue chpis (.9400 or better)
12 5 star plays

UGA 2018:
65 blue chips
33 high blue chips (.9400 or better)
10 5 stars

But the question is why do the 2020 numbers for UGA mean so much more than the 2018 numbers? Upperclassmen.

2020 upper-classmen numbers
Blue Chips: 41
High Blue Chips (.9400 or better): 32
5 Stars: 7

UGA's upperclassmen alone are almost equal to the talent at Florida with 2 very, very good defensive recruiting classes in 2019 and 2020.

2019 upper-classmen numbers
Blue Chips: 22
High Blue Chips (.9400 or better): 12
5 Stars: 3

2018 upper-classmen numbers
Blue Chips: 26
High Blue Chips (.9400 or better): 11
5 Stars: 3

Some fans want to look at half truths.
The fact is that UGA's #1 recruiting class in 2018 are now upper classmen.
The fact is that we've stacked 2 underclassmen classes right there with the 2018 class. We aren't going anywhere.

Look at your numbers again, straws.
Tell me if your 2020 roster gained 19 upperclassmen blue chips.
Tell me if your 2020 roster gained 20 high blue chips in the upperclassmen ranks.
Tell me if your 2020 roster gained 4 5-star upperclassmen.
