That's where the play was going from the start IMO. A vet goes through his reads if the receiver makes that mistake and sends the ball somewhere else - or just runs.

That's Stetson's biggest advantage. If someone else fails to execute he mitigates with decision making. How confident are coaches that we won't see similar breakdowns?

Although Mathis can mitigate with athleticism, he still needs to be able to decide in the moment when to use that athleticism.

That mitigation comes with experience unfortunately. I feel like this thread has some good points all around, and I never said I prefer any qb over the next, I just feel like Kirby started him in the last game for a reason, and will do it again.
