USC will never go away,they will always be a blue blood. Too much tradition and local talent in California. Just need the right coach to point them in the right direction.

They have said the same thing about Nebraska and Michigan for years. Just because it is easier for a blue blood to come back doesn't mean it is automatic. I think most modern players would rather play at Alabama, Clemson, LSU, or Georgia. Most freshman players were 2 years old the last time USC was good.
