QB battle this late means that whoever actually takes over the job has been splitting the Reps with the Ones.

And the guy with the most reps, our highly probable starter quit a week ago.

If we go 4-1 before Florida, watch out. You expecting 2-3?

It largely depends if you guys can actually roll out the offense and if whoever you pick can make lemonade out of lemons.

Newman scared me because he could at least extend the play, get to the outside and throw deep -- which can work when the offensive playcalling breaks down.

It's going to suck if Mathis can be that guy and would be quite frustrating. However, running like that in the SEC can and will lead to injuries. After that, I don't think a traditional style Quarterback (unathletic, like I expect from JT because of his knee) will be able to function as a transfer + a changing offense. Daniels has had way less time with the team, significantly fewer practices as he was injured before the Pandemic.

tl;dr it'd be just my fricking luck if Mathis came in and backyard footballed Georgia to a Championship.
