The dude was arrested for beating his pregnant girlfriend. Ask Ray Rice how that typically ends.
Answer my question.
He was obviously going to be released eventually regardless, but “it had nothing to do with his time at LSU” is a stretch. Investigators aren’t cheap.

They’re not that expensive either, especially for a billion dollar organization. I’m sure they have one on retainer for a few hundred bucks an hour. It’s not like they investigated this for more than a day given the timing.
ETA: I don't know who is the serial downvoter ITT. I know how expensive investigators are because I hire them all the time. I even overshot the rate in my post trying to take into account the DC market and the entity hiring them. The investigators we hire are about half that much per hour. The article says the investigator interviewed the girl for 3.5 hours. Her hourly rate is not going to exceed that of an attorney. How much do y'all think 3.5 hours is going to cost someone for an investigator For that type of job, where they cut him within 24 hours of his arrest, even if she spent all 24 hours billing, she isn't going to be charging even ten grand for that work. That's a drop in the bucket for a professional sports organization.

Why? He was released immediately after he was arrested for domestic abuse. The LSU allegations are an afterthought.

Stop trying to shoehorn LSU into it then.

Oh look. More shoehorning.

The NFL is a multi-billion dollar industry. Hiring an investigator isn’t even a drop in the bucket.
