Well hell if that is literally not what luck is why prepare at all? If luck is required it is entirely possible that waiting on luck would eventually pan out and we'd win it all. A lot of folks kind of claim that's what LSU did last season and Auburn did a few years ago...I ain't among 'em but there are those who will claim both "lucked out".

UGA has been there recently. Blowing a coverage in OT on 2nd and 26 is not bad luck it is ill preparation. Bad luck would be tripping....making the wrong decision is a lack of preparation. Of course that is not the only way preparation played into that game....not being able to get a first down and punting in the fourth quarter played a part and throwing an INT in the third when driving also played a part....all of that was due in part to Alabama being prepared and making a play when needed....but it also comes down to UGA failing to be prepared and making a play when needed. It ain't a lack of luck to squander a double digit lead in a national title game....part of it is playing a damn good, well prepared opponent and part of it is bein less prepared. If you have a problem with Luck being prepared when opportunity presents itself take it up with Seneca...he said it, I just repeated it...

You have to prepare to be able to take advantage of luck.

Bad luck is a ball bouncing off a helmet to a bama player, the refs not calling a personal foul on bama LB, the refs calling offsides on Tyler simmons, having your #1 wr knocked out of the game, along with Sony Michel.

All of that luck + prep allowed bama to be able to take advantage of the situation. Luck helped create the opportunity for them.

Saying it doesn’t make it true.
