The entire country will have to buckle the frick down over the next month to save the season starting on time, but I know better. Most around here still think it's "just the flu" or a deep state hoax.

Finebaum called out the governors for sitting on their hands. "Are we really going to risk football over some bars?"

But what good does it do to buckle down now? The infections might fall but they will rise right back when 100K stadiums fill up.

It was my understanding that the lockdown's purpose back in March was to give health facilities a chance to prepare to deal with COVID-19. Fair enough. Well, shite, that was 3.5 months ago and you still can't fly on an airplane (or go in some stores) without wearing a mask, go to a restaurant without half the tables being unavailable, or even set foot inside a movie theater.

I hate it, think we're a bunch of pussies for it, and think we're doing more harm than good with all this shutdown shite, but I don't see any way the powers that be allow football to be played.

We're stuck with this shite until there's a reliable vaccine.
