If we don't have a football season, 90% of college sports programs will be shuttered; softball, gymnastics, baseball, swimming, hockey, track, you name it. If it ain't football or men's basketball, it ain't self-sustaining and nobody will continue a money losing sport if no revenue is coming in. Then there's the economic impact on the college towns, most of which depend on football and students for survival. The political and social pressure to have a season is tremendous. I'm glad I'm not in Greg Byrne's shoes.

It's a virtual certainty you're going to have extremely limited to no fans this fall, so, there is going to be heartburn.
