Bowden was 8-5-1 against Spurrier while the latter was mostly dominating the SEC; would it have been that much tougher? Granted two of those 5 Spurrier wins probably prevented FSU from winning MNCs

If you think the ACC is down now it was even weaker back when they joined. He's gone on record saying they chose the ACC for the easier path.
