I honestly believe the recruiting sites are horrendous at evaluating Midwest talent or anything away from a coast for that matter.
I believe that attributes to why so many lower level schools in the Midwest in JUCO, D1-AA and D-2 have tremendous success because of the unknown diamonds that walks through their doors

Venables being a Kansas guy I’m sure helped. And he wanted to go to Arkansas but they didn’t want him
