We didn't have the best choices because we had an 80 year old AD that needed to retire. Then you follow that with the snob Jeff Long and you just stepped in shite outside your door.

Houston Nutt shouldn't be hired because Tommy Tuberville was more qualified but Nutt wowed the search committee and was hired instead, bad move because he underachieved when had the talent. Tuberville would at least gotten an SEC title.

Pittman has been a head coach but not in division 1.

Petrino wasn't a con-man. Jeff long was with his integrity bull shite. Petrino just didn't agree to the terms of keeping his job. That is on him. Jeff Long helped kill the program. He was fired because he is a pompous self centered bitch.

Bert would not have been hired if a younger Frank Broyles was the AD. He would have called Barry Alvarez and get Intel on Bert. After the phone call, he would move on to someone else. Why? Because Bert is an alcoholic and he would pass out in his office. So yes a real go getter alright.

Arkansas tried to swing for the fences and went after big names. But they declined for different reasons. Lane Kiffin was the target for a while and was almost hired until Jimmy Sexton came in wanted more money when the contract was already agreed upon.

This irritated Hunter Yuracheck who was been rumored of not like dealing with Jimmy Sexton.

That was on a Saturday and Sam Pittman came calling the next day.

I like Sam Pittman and I have not seen such passion for the program since Ken Hatfield. Those type of coaches will succeed.

Barry Odom was the same way. Look how it went? He got fired!
Also Why did Arkansas wait so long to hire Sam Pittman? I mean failures after failures Instead of hiring Chad Morris should have hired Sam Pittman.
