Most of the A&M posters here were accepted into both and chose A&M.
All t.u. required to accept me was filling out a one page application. A&M made me fill out an entire packet and write an essay explaining why I wanted to go to A&M.
A&M actually made me work for it. t.u. rubber-stamped it. Ultimately it came down to the fact that I didn't want to live in downtown Austin for 4 years.
Also, while I was in school, A&M was top 50 in the U.S. News Rankings while t.u. wasn't.

I can’t stand Texas, but this is like a UGA fan claiming that it’s harder to get accepted into UGA than Georgia Tech.
Nobody’s buying it except other delusional ATM fans.
I hate to admit this, but aside from Vandy, Florida is the best educational institution in the SEC.
