The State of Alabama does have a "Mandatory Retirement Age" of 70 years old.
I am a retired state employee that was at one time deputy (and for a time acting) director of my agency's division that included HR. I can tell you with absolute certainty that there is no mandatory retirement age.
We HIRED some people over 70.
Judges have a max age when they can be elected but that's it.
