Can you please link the academic website for this institution? As life long Louisiana resident, I was unaware this place existed.

Hoping you can help out. Thanks.

Since most people on this site tend to lean towards the Law in Order type philosophy (I tend to as well), and believe that the US Constitution is the Law of the Land and that which is not defined as the jurisdiction of the Federal Government is defacto under each State's Constitution (i.e. 10th Amendment), there is no such legal entity as as the University of Louisiana. There is a University of LA System of which the following schools are part of, LA Tech, UNO, ULL, ULM, NW LA, SE LA, Mcneese State, Nichols State and Grambling State.

The State Law clearly states both ULL and ULM most include Lafayette and Monroe in all official designations for the University. The System President is actually the former Chancellor or NW LA. Now, the state Law did not address athletic monikers. So ULL putting Louisiana's Ragin Caguns has been a point of contention and the LA Supreme Court has not weighed in on it nor has the State Legislature passed laws to further clarify if the use of Lousiaian's Ragin Cajuns for Sports Monikers is a violation of the law.

One of the reasons UNO asked for the Governor and LA legislature to pass a law to move them from the LSU System, which they were since its founding in the 1950's (then LSU-NO), was to get into the UL System since there is no clear Flagship vs. branch campus structure in that System vs. the LSU System. UNO is not a branch campus of ULL or LA Tech or ULM nor or any of those campuses a branch campus of UNO, etc, etc, etc.

Yes. I was thinking since so many here have so much at stake with the "University of Louisiana" thing that it would certainly be based in fact and not a weak attempt at trolling.

I continue to give asshats here far too much credit
