Kansas and Kansas State were top 10 teams.

You're showing your youth.

Kansas definitely had a surprise season in 1995, but Kansas State was at the beginning of an impressive run that stretched almost a decade.

1993: 9-2-1 (#20)
1994: 9-3 (#19)
1995: 10-2 (#7)
1996: 9-3 (#17)
1997: 11-1 (#8)
1998: 11-2 (#10)
1999: 11-1 (#6)
2000: 11-3 (#9)
2001: 6-6
2002: 11-2 (#7)
2003: 11-4 (#14)

I lived in Manhattan for these years.

Good times, lots of celebrating and partying. I'll probably never forget when they took the goal posts down aggieville after the Nebraska win.

I was never a K-State fan, but I liked when they would win because the parties were so much better.

I'm probably older than you, and I live 20 minutes from the KU campus. Nobody here, neither KU nor K-State fans, would even consider those teams in the same conversation with 2019 LSU. K-State had some very good teams in the late 90s, but none of them were NC contenders.
