I don’t know anything and neither does anyone here, but I think it was about having time for each other. I could see the wife getting upset that Ed wasn’t home much.

Ed is a tireless worker to a fault sometimes and he will probably do this until he dies. She may have seen no ending to the cycle.

But again idk.
