Dabo Swinney. He wasn't recruiting lights out until very, very recently. Yet he has two national titles to show for it. He does more with less. And yet after getting his best class ever at Clemson he got blown out in the National Championship game. Don't get me wrong, I think Dabo is a great coach. quote:Kirby Smart. He's been recruiting lights out since day one at UGA. He has no national titles and sincerely struggles in big games. He does less with more. He just finished his fourth year as a head coach. I don't think we (Georgia fans) would deny that he has a lot to learn, but he is showing that he is learning.

Some view Kirby Smart as Mark Richt. Just a better recruiter and that is it.

So if he recruits better, but the results on the field are the same, is Kirby a better coach than Richt?

I'd say no. I'd say he's worse because he achieving the same results with better inputs.

Those are people who are either too lazy or too dumb to evaluate situations and performance on a case-by-case basis.
