Not to derail the current topic but does anybody know if tua or taulia was recruited by texas while strong was headcoach?

Was on the r/rolltide subreddit and came across these posts by a poster named TauliaTagovailoa

"Charlie Strong is and has always been a class act. Love his leadership in the locker room and his no-nonsense approach to everything. Cleaned up Texas's locker room and Louisvilles. Great role model for the student athletes."

"Texas donors didn't like him because he was A) a black man and B) didn't take lip service from them and ran the program the way he wanted too. When you have signs in your locker room, before he got there, that stated 'do not bring guns into the building'. That is a culture problem with the school/program."

"he had issues with the boosters literally day 1."

Maybe someone can confirm or deny if this is actually true but it seems to be very specific

That's always been the rumor/claim. It's unlikely that it would have been more than a few, otherwise why would he get hired to start with? But always a few dumbasses, so I wouldn't doubt it if some were.

Texas recruiting improved after he left, but he still brought in top10 recruiting classes and managed to go 5-7 in the Big12 his final 2 years.

So even if there were some truth to it, it doesn't really excuse the level of bad Texas was.
