LSU this year reminds me of Bama 2000

The '99 team had great Senior leadership, despite their inadequate Head Coach. Hopes were high for 2000. But, the Senior leadership was gone. The Stallings system wore off and the DuBose effect kicked in. Deja Vu for LSU?

haha, your comparison is pathetic.
We have plenty of senior leadership returning, the expectations are not high, and we have a more than adequate head coach.
If we dont have a successful season, it will not be because Les Miles is not a good coach, it will be a combination of many things, the most dominant being the inexperience at quarterback.
How do you really think we won a national championship last year? It sure as hell wasnt Saban's system nor was it purely the players he recruited. Believe it or not, the players were well coached and the system was put in place by Les Miles and the coaches he hired.
The only deja vu will be when bama plays in the independence bowl again.
oh yea, deja vu can only be applied to something happening very similarly to what happened in the past to the same person(s), place or thing. It can not be used for a completely different situation.

You got lucky as hell?

LSU was actually on the slide last year, but got lucky. They were actually getting worse as the season wore on and lost at Home to Arky in the last game of the year by giving up 50 points! They were most fortunate in getting to play UT in the SECCG and Ohio St. in the National Title game, along with some strange upsets around the nation to get them in the title game. Could very well be a looooong year in Red Stick.

Nope. Damn Strong Football team nobody could beat in Regulation. You hired a coach who had 2 double digit wins in 12 college football seasons. Too bad. Hope Toomy Bowden works out better for ya.

I don't recall a team ever being as lucky as LSU was last year. Can you ever recall a team giving up 50 points in a loss at home to unranked team in their season finale and making it to the National Title game? I doubt that you can. The fart starts to stink for LSU this year.

I knows you has you a crayon. What are you confused about? The part where Bag Head says "LSU was actually on the slide last year, but got lucky"?

Apparently you missed Saban's "Bluegrass Miracle" against Kentucky. - he planned for those Kentucky defenders to touch the ball on that Hail Mary you know. All part of the Process..
And perhaps you didn't see Saban's 2004 game against mighty Oregon State, who's kicker missed 3 extra points. The only extra points he missed in his College career BTW. More of the process.

It's already stinking in Bama. I wonder how many more games before Mr. Process is shown the door at Bama. Either Tommy Bowden, or maybe another Mike..

Those kind of games happen. I'm talking about mounds of luck in one year like Miles had last year. The ball bounced his way last year. It bounces the other was as much as it bounced his last year, and he could be staring at a 6 or 7 loss season. LSUs Seniors held that team together last year.....barely. Should be an interesting year, starting with Appalachian State. That Armanti Edwards is one dangerous QB.

Ok so we were lucky to beat a MSU team by over 40 points , A team Bama lost to. I guess we were lucky that we didn't have to play ULM!!!!!

No, "Luck" doesn't happen for 3 straight seasons. 2 Coaches in SEC History have put up 11+ wins 3 years in a consecutively: Les Miles & 'bahr Bryant. Miles has a very similiar style that Bo Schembechler had at Michigan. Bad for Bama..

Difference is Miles has already won a title and there is no way Miles ends up 2-8 in BCS bowls (Rose Bowls in Bo's case). Schembechlers probably the most overrated coach in college football history, but yeah I see where you're going with the comparison.

That's what Larry Coker said too:
2001 Miami 12-0
2002 Miami 12-1
2003 Miami 11-2

What's funny anbout that is LArry Coker never had a Losing season & his winning percentage was at 80%, higher than Saban ever had or will have. Coker got fired for the exact same season your 4 Milion dollar coach just gave birth to. Right down to the Cheesey Bowl game win. You should have nabbed Coker instead.

He has no titles and was 2-8 in the Rose Bowl. Anywhere else that gets you fired, but he's revered like a god. Sure, he beat OSU, but he's still overrated

With good reason!! He did alot more for the game of football than just his Bowl record!!! BTW when he brought Anthony Carter into the BiG Ten It changed the conference forever!!!
