Aug. 30 Clemson at Atlanta (a nasty L)
Sept. 6 Tulane (W)
Sept. 13 Western Kentucky (W)
Sept. 20 at Arkansas (Toss up)
Sept. 27 at Georgia (a second nasty loss in Georgia)
Oct. 4 Kentucky (most likely a W, but should be hard won)
Oct. 18 Ole Miss (W)
Oct. 25 at Tennessee (good game, but another L)
Nov. 1 Arkansas State (W)
Nov. 8 at LSU (Saban wishes he'd never been born - L)
Nov. 15 Mississippi State (Toss up)
Nov. 29 Auburn (Oh, the humanity of it - another L to cow town)

So, I see either of three possibilities: 7-5 (best possible outcome), 6-6 (Indy Bowl bound) or 5-7 (all part of the process).

I see Ole Miss as a loss as well. They will be much improved under Nutt.

+1

Arkansas State could be their ULM this year as they look past them to the next week against LSU and try to keep from getting anyone hurt before the trip to Baton Rouge.

I'd switch Ole to an L and Clemson to a W.

Any half decent team will beat Clemson in the opener this year. They'll be pre-season top 10 and anytime they're expected to do anything they immediately fall on their face.

No way 10-2 would be the best possible outcome. But 7-5 sounds about par, maybe 8-4 with a few good bounces

I'm guessing around 7-5! 8-4 would be great!

I'd go with 8 wins by changing the Clemson game to a W. Tommy Bowden don't scare anyone except his own Daddy; certainly not the Sabanator.

Of course if Sarah Jessica Parker shows up like she did during the FSU game last year anything can happen.

now, here's the question...Would you and other Bama fans have been happy or satisfied with 7-5 in year 2 when you found out Saban was going to be your guy? Just seems to me Saban at Bama seems very similar to Saban at Michigan State. He had a bunch of mediocre years and one good year while he was competing with Michigan for recruits ala like now he's doing with Auburn. He actually had good classes there with the Spartans, but still struggled in the Weak 10 on a yearly basis.

LSU > Georgia > Auburn > Florida > Tennessee > Mississippi State > Alabama > Kentucky > Arkansas > South Carolina > Ole Miss > Vanderbilt

Minimum 5 losses by Bama in the SEC. Clemson is not going to lose to Bama.

I'd hope for better, but there is only so much he can do with the hand he has been dealt.

I was excited about Saban at first because I know the guy can recruit. He's proven that at LSU by keeping the in state guys, in state! He proved it last year at Bama with a good recruiting class.

Once he gets his recruits going, I'll have a little higher expectation than 7-5. Do I expect National Championships? No. Do I expect to win the West every year? No! I do however think that we should at least be in contention for the West every year.

In the end, I think we'll be better with him, than we would be without him.
