On his list of names, I haven't found an oline coach, much less one better than Davis. I found 2 offensive coordinators which if you duct taped them together might weigh 220 lbs. And a tight end coach. A former recruiting coordinator and a hockey coach in D J Smith.
I guess a hockey coach shouldn't surprise me since Drink didn't know what conference Mizzou was in

You don’t know who Marcus Johnson from Mississippi State is? It doesn’t matter. You guys are happy with what you have and we are happy with what we have. I’m looking forward to making it 5 years in a row.

Did MSU score a lot on Arkansas the last 2 years? How about Missouri? not as much. So there is your answer! MSU OL is better fit for what Drinkwitz want to run. That is all it matters and you got what you wanted in Davis. That is fine too. Win-Win
