They are better on defense than last year

No they are not. Last year they had 3 upperclassmen on the dline that were 1st round draft picks. They brought a ton of pressure without having to blitz. Not the case this year. They made some adjustments and settled down last night after the first quarter and played well but they aren't as dominant as they were last year.

Burrow is a great QB with dynamic wide receivers but the real MVP of that team is his offensive line. Burrow has all day to throw on just about every down and as a result him and his receivers are good enough to destroy every defense they have faced. Last years Clemson d-line would cause them some problems but not this years.

Clemson's best shot is to win a shootout while getting some turnovers along the way.

LSU is going to get theirs, the question is going to be is Clemsons offense good enough to keep pace with LSU? Georgia and Oklahoma got the ball first and couldn’t do anything, they punted it away and LSU scored on the next drive and it was pretty much over after that. Clemson can’t be playing catch-up vs this LSU offense. I would say LSU could lose in a shootout but by the time the other team gets their offense going, they are already down by 21 points and LSUs offense doesn’t let up.
