Most Missourians sided with tbe South during the war between the States. Historical fact. Besides, part of the show-me state is on the south side of the Mason-Dixon line.

So, give it rest already! Whether by choice or geographical regionalism, Mizzou has many ties to the South.

Misguided though some may have been, the mule state is more southern than most unlearned people can imagine.

Seems like I've read the opposite of this. Missouri sent around 40,000 men to fight for the South, but 100,000 to fight for the North.

Not saying you're wrong, just that I remember it differently.
