I thought they handled that very well. Guessing they took his alleged mental state into factoring their level of force.

For wherever reason, Harris felt like he needed to fight back. Could be drugs, mental health, or a bad attitude. Maybe we’ll find out.

We really don’t know 1) why the police handled that the way they did (I think they we’re great) 2) why Harris thought what he was doing was a good idea.

The video, as they tend to do, is just going to reaffirm or exacerbate our existing views on these altercations as a whole.

Hope everyone involved is OK. Officers expect and are trained for these interactions but they can take a toll on the man and the people around them.

I read an article that said Harris was banging his head on the police cruiser while handcuffed. The cops did okay. There is always room for improvement but they didn’t embarrass anybody. They can’t talk that kind of erratic behavior down. They actually had to put him into additional restraints and had the medics give him a cocktail shot.
