I have posted this fact many times here in the past. Here is how you know I am correct
you may be right, but the only way I will "know" if you are correct or not is for you to post a link, cuz I don't care enough to research it...
Alabama is a fine school, clearly better than Auburn in several fields (example, law)
but Auburn has higher admission standards at this point in time (I was honestly very surprised to learn this myself as Bama was considered better for so long)
it is what it is
top SEC school for academics is Vandy, and it isn't really even close
2nd is Florida, and again, it really isn't close
3rd? toss-up between UGA and aTm
Auburn has slid into the 5th spot that Bama held for a long time by a hair
Below are links to the College Board profiles for Alabama, then Auburn. You can find a profile for every SEC school there. Just put the name of the school in the search window. Then click on "Applying" on left side menu. Then click on ACT or SAT depending on which test the majority of students submit on their application admission. There is a way to approximate what a particular ACT score means relative to an SAT score. But for Alabama's purposes, compare its 75th percentile of ACT to other SEC schools. Then look at the size of Alabama's freshman class each Fall (second only to A&M for years now) and you will see I am right.

maybe
but in 2019, it is harder to get into Auburn than it is to get in Alabama
like I said earlier, that fact surprised me when I found out 2 years ago

I will post a separate thread showing the 25th and 75th percentile of ACT scores for each SEC school, but for example, Alabama's is 23-31. That is a very wide range. UGA's is 27-32.
Alabama's 2018 freshman class was 6,663
UGA's was 5,728
It stands to reason that Alabama has a higher number of students with an ACT of 32 or higher with that many more freshman than UGA. It may not be many more though. And yes, Alabama admits a lot more of the lower tier students.
