Not sure what planet you were living on in 2004. I love Coach Sherrill but his last two years we were a dumpster fire. Then when Croom came in, he eventually purged about 20 talented but malcontents from the team thereby ensuring that 2004-2005 were going to be terrible years. And they were. However, by 2006, the team was getting better and in 2007 we had a good year. 2008 brought some unfortunate issues that derailed the team and after the Oxford beat down, a change was appropriate. But nonetheless, he had recruited well and left an outstanding 2009 class that CDM inherited.
He left a solid foundation that CDM built on. No way in the world was he the worst coach in SEC history. Did you forget your meds? What are you smoking?
I appreciate what he did for our program and if you look beyond just his record , he left the State program in much better shape than he found it in when he started.

I'll tell you exactly where I was in 2004. I was a loyal BDC member in the midst of a ten year streak of going to all games - home and road. You were accurate in stating that Jackie's last two seasons were dumpster fires. Everything else in your post is bullshite. Croom was a heinous football coach in every possible way. He didn't throw malcontents off the team, he threw players that weren't his guys off the team. Then he recruited guys who got in just as much trouble off the field as the previous ones did. His offense was a complete shite show, much like Moorhead's. His saving grace in 2007 was Ellis Johnson and the defense. We were not a good football team in 2007 and that might have been one of the ugliest Liberty Bowls in the history of the franchise.

The most frightening thing to me is that people who think like you actually roam the earth and live among us.
