I've got a source who goes way back with Matt Campbell, good friends. Last week I asked the source if he thought Campbell was realistic for Arkansas if there is an opening. He says Campbell would absolutely leave for an SEC job. I know he's got quite a buyout but I thought it was interesting anyway

He is a total pipe dream, but if something crazy happened he would be high on my list. He has already been to arkansas once. Has a winning record here. Something chad didnt lol

Campbell would be an absolute home run and would immediately put the rest of the SEC on notice. On my Official Coaching Wishlist™ he's in a tier of coaches that are pipe dreams, like Meyer, Stoops, Fleck, etc.

I would think he'd wait for a Tennessee, UF, Auburn, Bama, LSU, UGA level school if he wants to jump to the SEC though. There's a good chance UT and Auburn are open within the next couple years. He can basically pick anywhere he wants to go.

If there's even a chance you can land Campbell then you throw all your eggs in that basket. Break the bank if you have to. It's the type of hire you need to actually fix this program.
