I think there is a good possibility that many of the players who left, needed to do just that. I think Bielema’s style didn’t lend itself to recruiting the kind of players who give maximum effort at every opportunity. I think Morris probably expects, if not demands this, but probably goes about it in his very own shitty high school way.

I also think it quite possible that very few on the offensive side of the coaching staff have any kind of reference for SEC level talent, including the head coach. Think about it, don’t you think Morris probably believed that Hicks was going to take all that SMU experience and success, and just light up the SEC with Morris’ system?

It’s at least part of the reason Morris is bewildered, and completely at a loss right now. All the tricks, and plays, and offensive scheme (I’m being generous) that brought at least moderate success at SMU, is being shoved up his arse so far he can smell it. And he doesn’t have a clue how to make it stop.

i think you hit the nail right on it's little head.

Very well said, dude is clueless and trying to understand why his system, his way of coaching isn't working. So far it is everyone's and everything's fault other than his very own. Surely... soon, he will see his silly look in the mirror and get a clue!
