LSU is muuuch better of without Alleva. He was getting ready to run off Wade. Terrible AD

Can we agree that Joe Alleva was, in fact, a good AD and was unfairly run off by the sidewalk Cajuns?

It wasn't "sidewalk Cajuns" that ran off Alleva. There is more to being AD than hiring coaches, a lot more, that was Alleva's final undoing. The real number one responsibility of an AD is fund raising, it was falling off drastically because Joe thought he was above smoozing sponsors and Alumni. He didn't meet or have a personal relationship with his coaches in any sport.

I was at a luncheon with RL (if you don't know who that is, too bad) he said the main reason he was after Alleva was the mismanagement of the AD. I also suspect that Scott Woodward availability was the real reason.

Alleva did hire 2 successful coaches, but it wasn't enough to make up for the other deficiencies.
