There is not a way to factually argue that he "made" a program who already had the richest history in the sport prior to his arrival.

Nobody would be talking about Alabama today if it weren't for Saban. Remember the aughts?

A great comparison is Tennessee. Tennessee's hardware is just some fascinating history at this point. Tennessee may be historically elite, but would you consider Tenn elite right now? Absolutely not. We haven't been elite for 15 years.

Likewise, had Alabama not won anything since 1992, you could not say that Alabama is a prominent CFB program.

Won the SEC in 1999, finished in the Top 10 in 2005.

I'm not disagreeing with your stance that Alabama was in the dumps when he arrived. However, the very fact that Bama was the winningest program in the SEC prior to his arrival debunks the idea that Saban "made" them. He resurrected the program. He did not make it from scratch.

If you can't see the absurdity in stating that Saban MADE Alabama, you likely can't be reasoned with.

Bear Bryant didn't make Alabama any more than Saban did. Alabama already had a very rich history of winning and dominating not only the SEC, but many other teams around the nation, before Bryant arrived.

You've just made a stupid claim that can't be backed up. Just let it die and take the loss.
