That Brenton Cox has been cleared. I'll post a link once/if its confirmed.

Another site I get on has said there is no confirmation yet and basically the rumor may/may not be true.

If he responded it's likely the rumors aren't true and he's trying to temper our expectations. However, it's always strange when a coach answers rumors/questions about rumors without committing himself to an answer.
If he really wanted to temper our expectations he'd simply say that we aren't getting our hopes up.

Mullen flat out said that he hasn't heard anything and its up to the NCAA to decide.
Imo if Cox didn't r/s last year and played more than 4 games, then he should r/s if he isn't cleared by the AU game. Why waste a year...he could r/s and be a soph in 2020.
Now IF he did r/s last year,then he should play because he will lose a year. But I just don't think he would have transferred if he already had been redshirted, knowing the risk of having to sit out a year.

Even if he is cleared I dont think you will see him until next Saturday why put him in the Towson game.
