I know its hard to get excited about a game like this, but Towson is supposed to have a very good offense.

Wanna see as many redshirt frosh OL or true frosh (still letting them r/s for this year) play as possible.

Players like Bogle, Elam, Kimbrough, Hopper, Zipperer, Chatfield, Diabate, etc etc

I was wondering about Hopper, heard he was a beast in camp but we havent seen him even with the injuries.

Id like to see Mullen let Jones go deep. It seems up until now when Jones gets in its either a zone read or a quick pass. I understand high % throws build confidence ect but let the kid fling it.

OL rotation with young guys would also be good.

Zuniga and Hendo getting a few reps to knock the rust off

Can't overlook Towson, they are a very good FCS team with a talented QB. Secondary will be tested.

I hope the young guys can get a lot of reps so the starters can keep resting, but UF better come ready to play and apply pressure.

On offense, UF should be able to score a lot of points, I just hope the coaches throw the ball around the yard and don't get obsessed with trying to establish a running game that doesn't exist.

Emory needs to start pulling more on the zone read plays. Watching the game again and there were a few times where if he pulls, he’s off to the races

Florida’s passing offense is also ranked 27th nationally and 4th in the SEC. UF and Washington State are the only FBS teams with six receivers with 5+ catches and 100+ yards. Van Jefferson, Trevon Grimes, Kyle Pitts, Josh Hammond, Freddie Swain and Tyrie Cleveland make that list.

Hopper has played some and has been on special teams. Im sure we may be saving his redshirt?

I wanna see more of Copeland and get him ready for next year. He has already redshirted. Let him play some. Crowded right now and you can give the ball to only so many WR players.

Kyle Pitts and Jefferson are beasts, Hammond & Cleveland are very good and Swain & Grimes are good possession receivers.

I think Pierce needs to start at RB, Perine just isnt hitting as hard as he has in the past. Not sure if its lack of confidence in the OL-which I can understand- but there were some holes that he missed.
Davis had a few runs where he turned to the defenders instead of running away. Not sure what he saw or what but he had a play where if he hits outside, be has a good gain, possibly a td but he turned in for a min gain.

Give me Pierce and the Pride of New Jersey lol. Both run hard

The DE stopped and read the QB, you have to hand that off there. It's only a big play if the QB is much faster than the DE and Trask definitely isn't.

You can see the edge rusher stop and plant, that = automatic hand off.

It's not that d he just doesn't have a scarlett type back to soften the defense up for him like last year.

Plus our o-line can't block a marshmallow from getting to a Hershey chocolate bar to make smores

I think Pierce is the closest thing we have to that Scarlett type back.

True. Im looking for positives, I dont see many. Watched the game today, rewatched each run play. Man, its tough sleddin in there for the most part.

Im beginning to wonder if Perine is afraid of injury and doesn't want his draft stock to collapse. He was a terror the last few years and busted his azz to get extra yds.

I wanna see Pierce and Clement get the ball a lot.

Trask isn't going to pull much. He isn't really a runner and I'd prefer he not run..don't need him getting injured.

The only time he should be pulling is if the DE collapses completely, and then he should just get as much yards as he possibly can and dive or slide. Preferably slide.

Even if he gains 3-5 yards and slides its enough to make the DE respect the play

If Trask got hurt, we might as well throw the season into a dumpster and set fire to it. I don't want him running unless he has enough space to drive two Mack trucks through the line.

I'm so tired of all the talk about Auburn this week. Towson is not a bad team. Not nearly as talented as Florida, but well coached and won't come in just to lie down.

The big thing for me is surviving this game with zero injuries, or limited injuries.

I think UF needs to keep practicing the passing game, as if they are going to win anything of note, it will be the passing game that does it for them

I'm pretty sure we all just want to see a few drives with the starters then start shuffling in the young guys and let them get some game reps.

The day I start worrying about FCS teams is the day I want Mullen fired.

They gave up 574 yards to Villanova last week, I think we're going to be okay.
