Question about BDS seating

Looking to take 2 kids to their first game(Tennessee). Ive never sat in any of the uppers. If I take the cheaper route and sit in NN or SS, is it better to go middle endzone or try to get a corner?

Maybe a corner to the west side to try and get some depth perception. And you probably won't have to look directly at the sun. If you sit in the SW corner, the sun will likely be behind you.

I'm going to clue you in to some of the best seats in the stadium, IMO, and they are in SS.
Try to get any NN or SS section, row 2. No other row...only row 2. They are below the walkway, not in the masses of rows above.
My preference is SS section 7 or 8. Here's what makes these seats awesome for the money:
1. Like I said, you're actually below the walkway. Very close to the field, and right on top of the students. NN has the same seats, but I like to be on top of the students.
2. Those two rows below the walkway actually have backs to the bleachers. But don't get row 1 unless row 2 is sold out...the rail might be in your line of sight.
3. With row 2, there is a ledge right behind you that's a perfect place for putting your drink and the kids' drinks so they don't get kicked over.
4. Sections 7 and 8, you'll be looking right down the center of the field...great for watching holes open on offense.
5. As the previous poster alluded to, in SS section 7 or 8, the sun will be behind you.
6. If the kids are young, take the elevator up. Anyone with an upper level ticket can take it. I don't remember the gate number, but if you are facing the stadium from the plaza, it's by the circular ramp on the front left. If you take the elevator, you don't have to go in the gate marked on the ticket. The wait for the elevator is usually short, if any at all.
edit: there are currently 4 seats on SS-7, Row 1, on StubHub for $90 each, plus fees. And no, they're not mine.
There is a pair on SS-6, Row 2, for $81 plus fees. If I decide to go, I'll buy those if they're still available.
Zoom in on this photo and you'll see the two rows I'm talking about. People sitting by the handicapped-accessible seats on the walkway, and two rows of people sitting below them. You're literally on top of the skyboxes, so you're basically as close as they are.

My favorite place is the U3 area preferably in the center between sections E-N and near the top. It is out of the sun and rain, plus the chairs have backs to them. You can get some good deals on tickets if you search long enough.
I tried SS once and the benches were not comfortable at all and the sun will beat down on you. It was in the center and you get a whole new perspective of plays being run.
I tried the corner at the Duke game and it was a bad view. I spent more time watching the big screen than I did the field.
Whatever you choose I'm sure the kids will enjoy the atmosphere of an SEC game. Good luck and have fun.

To each their own, I guess. The sun was never a factor to me, because it's behind you, and the wall behind offers some protection. Now, if you're in NN, then the sun is right in your face all day.

Loads of info. Thanks. I might just go for that.
I'm hoping that Tennessee is just bad enough that CBS will pick another game and ESPN picks this one for an evening game.that way the sun wont be much of a factor.
SCar- Florida and LSU-MissState are that day. Maybe CBS will choose one of those

The heat isn't a factor in late October, but the sun is a pain in the arse if you're in the east deck.
