Not sure it's yet in a death spiral, but interest is wanting a bit. I was kind of shocked to see all the empty seats in Williams-Brice yesterday. Their fans usually show up string, especially for an SEC opponent. This has been a growing issue at every school though, and a lot has to do with changes schools have made to the game day experience. It's no fun to drive 2 hours, park a mile+ from the stadium, sit in the stadium for a 4 hour game because of all the TV timeouts, then fight traffic for 3 hours to get back home.

The TV ratings are still very strong though. Schools have hinted at concerns over attendance, but they've gotten hooked to that TV money and not sure there's a solution that pleases all parties.
