Sounds like the destruction of college football as we know it.

Sure, the NCAA is a voluntary membership, and teams have to agree to follow their rules. The problem is, the NCAA has locked up all the TV market, and has basically become a monopoly. If a Cali school wanted to leave, they'd have nowhere to go and no one to play. And that's "unfair".

And if they allow players to make money where other schools don't, then that's going to affect recruiting. Why play at Bama or Ohio State for free, when you get to make $$$ over the table at USC? And before you dismiss this, consider- I'm an LSU fan. I've seen a lot of guys leave for the draft early, because "they need the money". They have no concept of finances... they think a million dollar contract is gonna make them set for life. They don't understand that people make a million in a decade, and are in no way set for life, they're middle class and need to keep earning.
