LSU fans got what they wanted. A pass happy offense. The problem is Texas probably should have won that game since they whiffed on two separate 4th and goal attempts. That's 14 points off the board.

Texas whiffed on the dropped pass - self inflicted wound.
LSU stuffed the 2nd one.

The second attempt doesn't happen if they score on the first attempt. Remember their second attempt came after an INT when LSU was pinned down inside the 5 after their failed first attempt, on a tipped pass no less.
All that also happened in the 1st quarter. Hard to say Team A should have won the game had Scenario A happened differently in the 1st quarter. Entire game would have played out differently with an infinite amount of unknown scenarios.
Also, as has already been addressed, Texas didn't whiff on attempt #2. They simply got shut down.
