Isn't it all relative, though? I mean which is tougher on the body? Playing no tough games all year or playing 3-4 tough games?

Name a conference that is tougher.

Then again...which is tougher? the team that plays 3-4 really tough games or the team that plays none? Which wears on a team more? Practice games, or games against tough opponents?
