But those two things aren't really related.
Sure, 1 doesn't cause the other. But it seems like those with the best work ethics are the ones you see less likely to showboat or make an arse of themselves.
I'm not an NFL draft expert, but I'd have to believe they also notice these types of things and if all things are equal otherwise, the guy who just celebrates with his team and is humble about things will be the one they want. It shows more mature character etc.
Meanwhile, what do you think someone like Franks accomplishes by his actions, which is what I think Saban was actually referring to?
It hurts their image. Meanwhile a guy like Damien Harris last year elevated his image by not being that way. Julio Jones elevates his image as a hard worker with great character, etc. Long list of those doing it right and I like that Alabama/Saban has been able to lure those types in.
The way you present yourself is one of the most important parts to a successful life.

Talking shite to a player on the other team/showing a guy up is totally different than celebrating in my opinion.
For one, it's bush league. But mainly, outside of a select few who thrive in those situations, most of the time it makes you mentally focus on the wrong thing and takes you out of the game. So, not shockingly, it's something Saban would hate.
